Some truckers drive with a wingman. Ed H., though, he prefers a wingdog. “I’ve had dogs with me ever since I’ve been on the road,” he explains. Accompanied by his dog Snookie, dwarfed in comparison to his previous dogs including a “wolf,” he runs hard everyday never missing a delivery time.

It’s serious business, and he lives by wise words that he believes keeps him safe. “My grand daddy taught me the day you stop learning is the day you die. And I ain’t dead yet.” This advice drives Ed every day. From pulling in the truck stop to training the next rookie, his mind never ceases to thirst for knowledge on and off the road.
