Carie’s Breakfast Sandwich

Ready to get your morning started right? This protein-packed egg and turkey sausage breakfast sandwich is the perfect way to start on a long road trip.


  • 1 tbsp butter, softened

  • 2 English muffins

  • 1/2 roll turkey breakfast sausage

  • 2 mushrooms, sliced thin

  • 2 tbsp green onions, sliced thin

  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

  • Salt and pepper

  • 2 slices cheddar cheese

Tools You'll Need

  • Cutting board/knife
  • Measuring cup/spoons
  • Butter knife
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Electric skillet


  • Spread butter on inside of English muffins.
  • Place on skillet, buttered side down, until golden brown.
  • Set aside.
  • Form breakfast sausage into patties and cook thoroughly.
  • Set aside.
  • Add mushrooms and green onions to eggs.
  • Mix lightly.
  • Cook on skillet to preference.
  • Add salt and pepper (optional).
